How we work
Groundworks either releases the rest of the build on time or holds it up. This is the sequence Rayco Civils works to on residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural sites across Ireland — from first enquiry through to handover of a build-ready platform.
You send drawings, a specification or simply a description of the site. We confirm what is in scope, what stage the site is at and what access is like.
Where the job warrants it we walk the site to check ground conditions, levels, access for plant, service routes and where spoil and materials can be stored.
You receive a written breakdown by work element — clearance, excavation, fill, foundations, drainage, ducting, concrete, roads — so the price can be read against the drawings.
Start date, sequence and durations are agreed. RAMS and insurance documentation are issued before mobilisation, and into the main contractor's system where one is in place.
Levels and lines are set out from the engineer's and architect's drawings, and datum points are established so formation levels can be checked as the dig progresses.
Site strip, bulk and reduced-level dig, cut and fill balancing, rock breaking where needed, engineered fill placed and compacted in layers.
Strip, raft or pad foundations set out, reinforced, inspected, then cast with certified ready-mix and vibrated. Slabs and hard standings follow the same sequence.
Foul, storm and surface-water runs laid to correct fall on proper bedding, manholes and gullies built, utility ducts installed, draw pits set and routes recorded.
Sub-base and formation, kerbing to line and level, footpaths, car parks and yards prepared for surfacing or finished in concrete.
Levels, falls and finishes checked with the engineer, as-built information handed over for certification, site left clean and released to the follow-on trades.
Send your drawings or a description of the site and works to info@rayco-group.com, or call 087 919 2193. We confirm scope, visit the site where needed, and issue a written quotation broken down by work element.
