Site clearance and enabling works to get your project ready for construction. We handle vegetation strip, topsoil removal, hedgerow and tree removal, demolition of existing structures, and cart-away of all arisings to licensed facilities.
Site clearance is the enabling stage that turns an overgrown or occupied site into workable ground: vegetation and topsoil are stripped, trees and hedgerows removed, existing structures and hardstanding broken out, and all arisings either crushed for re-use on site or removed to licensed facilities. Rayco Civils carries out site clearance nationwide.
Clean stone and concrete can often be crushed and re-used on site as fill or sub-base, which reduces both disposal and import costs. Anything that cannot be re-used goes to a licensed facility.
Where there is space and the topsoil is good, it is stripped and stockpiled separately so it can be re-spread on landscaped areas at the end of the job instead of being carted away and bought back.
Yes. Hedge cutting and removal are restricted during the bird nesting season under wildlife legislation, and some hedgerows and trees are protected by planning conditions. Clearance should be programmed with those restrictions in mind.
Structural demolition is handled by our sister company Rayco Demolition, and we co-ordinate the clearance and civils works around it.
