Platform formation on large footprints

Large industrial footprints magnify small level errors. Formation is surveyed across the platform, fill is placed and compacted in controlled layers, and soft spots are excavated and replaced before slab works begin.

Balancing cut and fill on site, where the material is suitable, keeps import and disposal volumes down on schemes where those volumes are significant.

Yards built for loaded vehicles

Service yards take repeated heavy turning movements. Build-ups, kerb restraint, drainage falls and gully positions are set for that duty rather than for light traffic, and surface water is directed away from dock levellers and door thresholds.
